Olympiacos is set to return to Greece after its trip to Berlin for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 29 game versus AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan. All Euroleague Basketball competitions were suspended shortly after the Reds landed in Germany.
Team officials made the necessary steps for the squad to return to Greece as soon as possible. The game was relocated to Berlin and scheduled for Friday on Wednesday, but ultimately scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The rest of the traveling teams for Friday’s games, FC Bayern Munich, Panathinaikos OPAP, Zenit Saint-Petersburg, Milano, and Zalgiris Kaunas were still situated at home base when informed on the lockdown.
