Maccabi Tel Aviv swingman Sandy Cohen III will be receiving Israeli citizenship according to a report by One.

Cohen getting an Israeli passport will empty a foreign player spot on the Winner League roster of Maccabi. It also makes the player eligible to join the Israeli national team.

Maccabi signed Cohen, 24, to a four-year deal last summer. The player played in the NBA Summer League with the Cleveland Cavaliers after going undrafted. Prior to the suspension of EuroLeague due to the coronavirus pandemic, he played in 11 games, averaging 1.2 points in 4:26 minutes.
