Barcelona guard Pau Ribas denied that he or any of his teammates have been told that there is a possibility that they will be asked to accept a salary decrease.
Club sources also mentioned that there isn’t any such talk happening on the team.
Ribas wrote “Neither the club nor the captain, have spoken with the staff about this matter. Thank you,” as a reaction to the news on Twitter.
On Saturday, a report by Mundo Deportivo said that Barcelona captain Ante Tomic was told by club officials to communicate to the players that they may be subject to salary cuts due to financial damages as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Ribas refuted said report.
