Barcelona guard Malcolm Delaney has reportedly left Spain and returned to the United States.
According to Cadena SER and Mundo Deportivo, the player didn’t receive permission to do so and his future with the club may be in question.
On the other hand, although Delaney himself isn’t willing to talk in detail about the topic, he suggests there’s more to it than meets the eye. “If you all think I “left my job” you’re all crazy. I won’t even respond to that article. I’ll speak on it when necessary,” he wrote about Mundo’s article and also noted that “he was told not to speak on it”.

There’s no confirmation that the player, in fact, returned to the US but Delaney’s reaction to the messages of support from Barcelona fans suggests that is the case.
