Barcelona announced that all basketball players of the club have accepted the salary cut (ERTE) that the organization implemented to every team of the organization amid the suspension of all sports activities due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The basketball team of Barcelona was previously the only department of the club that hadn’t unanimously agreed to the pay decrease. Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said in an interview that he expects all the players to accept the cut, something which happened Tuesday (31/3).
Barcelona mentions that the players, coaches and the rest of the staff want to “show their commitment to the club” during the situation due to the coronavirus crisis.
