With everything on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Olympiacos prepares for the future, and Hassan Martin will be part of it.
The 24-year-old big man is near a deal with the Greek club after a season with Buducnost VOLI, where he averaged 13,6 ppg and eight rpg in the 7DAYS EuroCup.
According to Eurohoops sources, the talks are more than advanced and “serious,” but there are still issues that need to be finalized in a possible two-year contract.
However, coach Giorgos Bartzokas believes in Martin’s potential, who, despite his size – almost 2,00 meters height – is expected to be at least a solid contributor in the center position, if not the starter.
On the other hand, Olympiacos knows that Nikola Milutinov will not stay with the team. The Serb center’s contract expires this summer, and while he may have many potential suitors, CSKA Moscow is in pole position to sign him.
The interest of Olympiacos for Hassan Martin was first reported by SDNA.
