CSKA Moscow president Andrey Vatutin commented on the reported deal with Serbian center Nikola Milutinov and, in particular, with the rumored contract amount.
“Well, of course, it’s millions of euros, well of course, because this is CSKA. Why 9? Write 18 million. Everything in the economy is falling apart, news comes that is even worse than the rest, restrictions are extended but CSKA confidently throws money from the bedside table,” Vatutin said in a phone conversation with RIA Novosti.
“We are from another planet. Because of the quarantine and self-isolation, I don’t remember the last time I picked up a pen to sign something. For CSKA, as well for all EuroLeague clubs it’s now more important to reach a settlement on salaries with current players.”
Sources have told Eurohoops that Milutinov will be signing a three-year contract with CSKA.
