Giorgio Armani through an interview with Sport Week, Gazzetta dello Sport magazine, talked about the coronavirus impact on basketball, sports and more. He also answered a question on AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan head coach Ettore Messina.
“I made the decision with club president Leo Dell’Orco,” he remembered hiring Messina, Milano relays, “His method and culture imprint is apparent. Over time it will be increasingly evident in results as well.”
Messina, 60, made his way back to Europe and Italy last summer signing a three-year contract to become the head coach and president of basketball operations of the Italian outlet.
The 2019-20 season hiatus sees his side at 12-16 in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. As for LBA Serie A and the since canceled season, Milan held a 14-7 tally.
