Dusko Ivanovic will stay as head coach of Baskonia in the 2020-2021 season according to a report by El Correo. Ivanovic returned for his third stint with the Basque side in December by signing a contract for the remainder of 2019-2020.
Per the report, Baskonia doesn’t want to take any risks in light of the complicated situation due to the coronavirus pandemic and has decided to proceed with Ivanovic for another year.
Under Ivanovic, Baskonia registered a 6-7 record in EuroLeague plus 5-4 in the Spanish ACB League. The Montenegrin coach was previously at the helm of the team from 2000 to 2005 and 2008 to 2012.
Ivanovic has won two ACB titles and three Copa Del Rey trophies in his overall run with the club.
