Crvena Zvezda guard Kevin Punter has returned to New York and joined Eurohoops’ Instagram Lockdown live for a talk around the coronavirus and his life during the lockdown. The conversation then shifted to his first steps in Europe with Lavrio and AEK in Greece, moving to Olympiacos, and what went wrong with the team prior to joining Crvena Zvezda.
“My coach left. David Blatt left. It’s as simple as that. Everybody knows what happened after he left”, said Punter, who also mentioned that his relationship with his former teammates hasn’t been affected at all and that he enjoyed being part of the team. “The people [in the team] were nice and polite, but that’s business”.
Punter also answered fan questions and made some rapid-fire picks, including his toughest opponent, his favorite EuroLeague player to watch, while he voted with a thumbs up for a EuroLeague All-Star Game with Team Europe vs. Team World.
