Olympiacos wants to start practicing and formally requested to resume training outdoors via a letter to Greece’s undersecretary responsible for sports, Lefteris Avgenakis.
Current restrictions implemented in Greece due to the coronavirus pandemic don’t include basketball teams allowed to practice in any capacity. However, the Reds called for workouts outdoors following the guidelines set by the Greek health authorities.
Approval would permit the players to practice outdoors after their lengthy hiatus as the possible decision to resume the 2019-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season approaches.
