Nick Calathes initially went to the USA when the EuroLeague season got suspended but came back to Greece last month. While he stayed for three weeks, he has now once again left for the United States, to stay close to his family.
Calathes’ departure came two days after the Eurohoops’ report about the player being on the verge of free agency as he is moving towards an amicable divorce with Panathinaikos after the end of the 2019-20 season.
It should also be noted that, despite the flights getting more regular, this could potentially complicate Calathes’ return to Europe if he is needed to join the squad for EuroLeague’s end of the season tournament.
