Khimki Moscow Region GM, Pavel Astakhov told Russian news agency RIA that all talks including negotiations regarding renewing Alexey Shved’s contract are currently being held back.
“There are no contract talks with Shved at this point. Overall, all possible negotiations are paused, everything is stopped,” he noted commenting on the current situation and the 31-year-old Russian guard.
The 2019-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season remains suspended. A decision on the conclusion of the campaign is expected with the next ten days.
“Eventually the quarantine will be lifted,” mentioned Astakhov, “We will be informed on the ending of this season and on the start of the next. Everybody will estimate their losses.”
“Euroleague is currently developing a support package for clubs ahead of the next season. The effort is still in its early stages, nothing concrete yet,” he added, “Circumstances don’t permit any promises to players nor from players to teams. Everything is complicated.”
