Giannoulis Larentzakis joins Olympiacos’ practices

Olympiacos returned to individual practices this Monday (18/5) following a nearly two-month period of inactivity due to the coronavirus lockdown, joined by Giannoulis Larentzakis, who returned to Greece from Murcia.

The season in Spain ended early for the Greek guard since Murcia is not among the teams to participate in ACB’s 12-team season conclusion tournament. Larentzakis, who was quarantined for two weeks upon his return, will now be able to practice with the Reds.

Players underwent more medicals on Monday, after all, tested negative for coronavirus in tests conducted last week while waiting for EuroLeague’s ultimate decision on the future of the season.

It has to be noted that if the season resumes, then Larentzakis will not be able to join the active roster of Olympiacos.

The EuroLeague has already decided that only players who have been registered before the suspension of the season will be eligible for the end of the season tournament.
