Real Madrid and Jaycee Carroll agreed to renew their contract for another season, according to Ignacio Ojeda.
Rumored to be considering retirement, Carroll is instead set to extend his contract up to the conclusion of the 2020-21 season. His decision leads to a tenth consecutive campaign with the Whites.
Fresh off his 37th birthday in mid-April, the Utah State alumni opted for an additional run with his current team he joined back in 2011 following a couple of seasons with Gran Canaria.
His 2019-20 showing included his ninth Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season. Carroll posted 7.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per appearance until the decision to suspend action, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Similar to Europe’s premier club competition, the ACB season remains halted as well. He previously averaged 10.7 points over 20 games.
The Spanish powerhouse on a 22-6 tally is currently tied for second place in the EuroLeague standings. Ranks second in ACB as well thanks to an 18-5 record.
