EuroLeague held a key meeting via teleconference with ELPA ad a total of 36 EuroLeague players on Saturday.
During the talks, it was obvious that the vast majority of the players that do not want the 2019-20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season to resume, the captain and a senior player from each club, expressed their concerns.
Euroleague Basketball presented the situation to the players, shared its plan for restarting the season and the health protocols, as previously reported by Eurohoops.
The tone was respectful and responsible on both sides. It was not a debate, as the meeting was informational, and the players had the chance to express their concerns.
However, the decision of whether to resume action will be taken on Monday by the 11 licensed teams that will vote if they want to complete the 2019-20 season or not.
The 2019-20 season was suspended on March 12, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
