CSKA Moscow president Andrey Vatutin confirmed Kyle Hines parting ways with the club, as Eurohoops reported earlier.
Vatutin explained the situation while adding that he respects Hines’ decision while thanking him for everything during the past seven years.
“I must state with regret that the news of Kyle’s departure from CSKA is true,” Vatutin told Sport Express. “In the morning, Kyle called me, the coach, many in the club, told his teammates that he needed a new challenge, that he wanted to change the situation after seven successful seasons in Moscow. His contract was valid until the summer of next year, but implied the possibility of “going out” for fixed compensation. Of course, it’s difficult to come to terms with this news, earlier we wanted to extend cooperation, but the player’s decision remained unchanged. We respect and understand the wishes of the person who gave so much to CSKA, achieved great victories, and became a friend to each of us. We wish him and his family health and success in a new place. Now the clubs and the agent coordinate all the transfer papers, after which we will officially announce this.”
