Despite rumors about the opposite and the obvious losses of the airline companies due to the COVID-19, Turkish Airlines and the EuroLeague are near the extension of their naming rights deal. There’s an option for the next five seasons, which is expected to be picked by the Turkish company.
While there’s no official deal yet, Turkish Airlines spokesman Yahya Ustun made the following statement to the Turkish newspaper “Hurriyet“: “Our cooperation with the Euroleague continues. There is a connection between Turkish Airlines and the Euroleague for more than 10 years. There is no problem between the parties. We have decided to continue mutually with Euroleague management. We think we will present good news together in the future”.
If nothing changes, Turkish Airlines will remain the naming sponsor of the EuroLeague until the summer of 2025.
