David Lighty and ASVEL were already bound together until 2022 but the sides decided to further extend their contract for two more seasons, until 2024.
“For me, the future of LDLC ASVEL cannot be imagined without David. I have never hidden my particular attachment for this player and I believe that I am not the only one at the club! When someone is unanimous in the locker room, on the field, and behind the scenes, we do everything to keep it! I am very happy that David has accepted this proposal and we will make sure that he ends his career with us in the best possible way,” club president Tony Parker said.
The 32-year-old American forward averaged 9.4 points, 2.75 boards and 1.7 assists over 55 games split between French League and EuroLeague before the seasons got canceled.
