Crvena Zvezda has agreed to a three-year deal with coach Sasha Obradovic according to Serbian website Nova. If the report is confirmed, Obradovic will be returning to Red Star, the team he made his basketball beginnings as player back in 1987.
Nova also reports that Obradovic paid his current team AS Monaco in order to be released from his contract and be able to sign with Crvena Zvezda. The Serbian coach had one year left in his deal with Monaco.
Obradovic last coached in EuroLeague with Alba Berlin in 2014-2015. After parting ways with the German club, he coached Lokomotiv Kuban from November 2016 to 2018 and then joined Monaco in 2019.
