LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne extended Ismael Bako’s contract through the 2021-22 season, the French club announced on Friday.
The 24-year-old Belgian center joined the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Jeep Elite Pro A side last summer on a two-year contract. The extension pushes its expiring date to the 2022 summer.
Leading up to the agreement with ASVEL, Bako paced his debut EuroLeague season with 4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per appearance. He also averaged 6.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per contests at the domestic level.
Prior to moving to France, the member of the Belgian senior national team launched his pro career with the Leuven Bears and enjoyed a successful run with the Antwerp Giants from 2017 to 2019.
