The 2000-born prospect in shooting guard Giordano Bortolani has penned a contract with Olimpia Milano which binds them until 2025, the club announced.

Olimpia Milano and Giordano Bortolani reached an agreement until 2025. Bortolani, a shooting guard, 1.93, was born on December 2, 2000 in Sant’Agata di Militello (Messina). “Giordano is a young player who grew up with Olimpia and we believe in him for a long-term project – says general manager Christos Stavropoulos -: he represents an important signal for all the boys of our youth teams. Today we are happy with this choice, which for Giordano must become a starting point towards the future “. “Olimpia has always shown great interest and has confirmed it to me once again with this contract – says Giordano Bortolani -. I am very happy and motivated to show you that they are right”.
Raised in the Olimpia youth teams, Giordano Bortolani made 12 first-team appearances in the 2017/18 season. He scored his first points in Serie A on February 4, 2018 in an Olimpia-Capo d’Orlando 91-54 game. He played also in Bernareggio in the 2017/18 season, in the third league, averaging 10.2 points per game; in 2018/19 he played in Legnano in A2 with 12.5 points per game in the regular season and 9.6 in the playout; in 2019/20 in Biella, again in A2, he scored 14.9 points per game. In 2018 he played the Under 18 European Championships, on February 20, 2020 he made his debut in the senior national team scoring three points in the win against Russia in the European qualifiers, at Naples.
