Tim Abromaitis and Unicaja Malaga have reached an agreement in principle for the upcoming seasons, according to “SUR”.
Abromaitis signed a two-year deal with Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2019 and he would first have to part ways with the Russian club before moving to Spain.
Unicaja had to make a choice to push for either Abromaitis or the Australian big Nick Kay. They decided on the former due to his experience in EuroLeague and Spain.
The 30-year-old American averaged 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 18 minutes this past season, over 38 games for Zenit split between VTB League and EuroLeague.
