Real Madrid has reportedly contacted Kostas Sloukas to express the club’s “great interest”, according to a report by Marca. The “Blancos” are looking at Sloukas as a replacement for their starting point guard Facu Campazzo, if the later leaves the team to sign with an NBA club.
Campazzo has been attracting the interest of several NBA clubs after emerging as one of the standout guards outside the league over the past years. He has an NBA opt-out clause in his contract that he can exercise if he pays 5.27 million out of a total sum of 6 million.
As of now, Sloukas’ status with Fener is unclear. The Greek guard is under contract with the 2017 EuroLeague champions for the next season.
