KIROLBET Baskonia inked Ilimane Diop to a three-year contract extension, the Spanish team announced on Wednesday.
Diop, 25, joined the Basque club back in 2011 and remained since with the exception of loan stints in lower Spanish divisions early in his career.
The upcoming 2020-21 season will be his eighth with Baskonia, and tenth since moving to Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The solid defender averaged 3.7 points, 2.0 per Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game over 27 appearances up to the premature ending of the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As for his ACB run, he put up 5.4 points prior to the hiatus and returned with 6.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per match in the season-ending tournament helping his side lift the ACB title.
