CSKA Moscow has officially announced the signing of Tornike Shengelia to a three-year deal (with an NBA buy-out clause for the summer of 2022) on Thursday, confirming Eurohoops’ prior reports.
Shengelia finished a successful run with Baskonia this season, after clinching the club’s first ACB title in 10 years, and is now ready for the next step in his career with CSKA.
28-year-old Shengelia served as Baskonia‘s captain and finished the 2019-20 season with an average of 15.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 30 minutes across 28 EuroLeague games. His numbers went up in ACB, where he averaged 16.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
