After terminating his contract with Real Madrid, Jordan Mickey will return to Khimki Moscow Region inking a two-year deal, according to Eurohoops sources. Eurohoops previously reported that the Spanish outlet was considering parting ways with Mickey.
The 25-year-old American big, LSU alumni, left Khimki last summer signing a two-year contract with the Spanish powerhouse. One year forward and he is on his way back to Russia.
His single Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign with Madrid, shortened by the coronavirus pandemic, featured him averaging 9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game over 26 appearances. He had made it up to 14.2 points per contest in his debut EuroLeague season with Khimki.
The ex-NBA player with 68 games between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat actually completed his 2019-20 ACB run via the season-ending tournament. He averaged 6.7 points per match prior to the hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
