Nicolas Laprovittola is under contract with Real Madrid for the 2020-2021 season but it’s not certain that he will remain with the team. Panathinaikos has been pushing to sign the guard who may part ways with the “Blancos,” depending also on if his fellow Argentinian player Facu Campazzo stays with the team or makes the jump to the NBA.
“For now I am a Real Madrid player, there are many rumors … is what I can say today. My career was based on many changes. The life of the basketball player is not so easy, go through a lot of rumors, a lot of things,” Laprovittola said in an interview with Club 947 FM, per I AM.
In 2019-2020, Laprovittola, the 2019 ACB MVP, averaged 13:31 minutes of playing time in EuroLeague and 15:05 minutes in the Spanish League. He may want to be on the floor more next season.
“I’m in a spectacular club but I’m not playing much. That’s the reality, so we’ll see what happens later,” Laprovittola said.
Real acquired Laprovittola in 2019.
