Galician forward Alberto Abalde has paid his exit clause today and he is released from Valencia Basket.
Abalde arrived at Valencia Basket in the summer of 2016, and after a season on loan at Joventut de Badalona, he wore the Valencia Basket shirt in a total of 165 games in these last three seasons, emerging as the best Spanish player of his generation.
His next stop is expected to be Real Madrid. The “Whites” are considering him the heir of Rudy Fernandez and the expectations for him are more than high.
The 24-years old player finished the season as a member of the best five of the Spanish Liga Endesa, averaging 14.8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game in the final phase of the season, which was held without fans at Valencia.
