Zeni Saint Petersburg announced that the club has added Igor Volkhin to the roster on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old forward played for Khimki’s youth squad and debuted for the A team this past season in two VTB League games and one in Zadar SuperCup.
“First of all, it is a great honor for me to be chosen by such a club as Zenit. This is an important step in my career. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the head coach and all management for their trust. I will do my best to help the Club achieve the highest results. I look forward to arriving at the club’s location to get to know the team and start the training process,” Volkhin noted.
Coach Xavi Pascual is also looking forward to seeing how the young player will improve and help his team: “With the arrival of Igor Volkhin in our team, we incorporated youth scoring ability of different shapes and sizes. He is a player in full development and with many possibilities for improvement. Very happy that Igor has chosen us to take this step forward in his career as a player.”
