Bryant Dunston will remain for three more seasons a member of Anadolu Efes after signing a new 2+1 contract, as the club announced.
Dunston had one more year remaining on his existing deal, but this new agreement ensures he will stay at the club until at least 2022, with the option for an extra year. The center is heading into his sixth season with Efes, having twice been named the competition’s Best Defender with his previous club Olympiacos Piraeus.
The 34-year-old missed the majority of last season through injury but showed his ability to dominate the paint by averaging 10.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots in the 11 games he did play. Overall he has totaled 192 EuroLeague appearances, and ranks second on the competition’s shot-blocking list (242) with another 8 needed to overhaul all-time leader Fran Vazquez (249). He becomes the seventh Efes player to sign a contract extension this summer, following the likes of Chris Singleton, Krunoslav Simon, Rodrigue Beaubois and Tibor Pleiss in committing his future to the club.
