FC Bayern Munich completed its first summer addition with Wade Baldwin IV, the German powerhouse announced on Monday. Eurohoops previously reported that the Vanderbilt alum was close to a deal with the Munich-based club.
The New Jersey native moved to Europe last summer but only competed in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with his former team, Olympiacos, opting to dress a reserve squad in Greece’s second division. His debut EuroLeague run featured 24 appearances with 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest.
Baldwin previously made his way to 63 NBA matches between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Portland Trail Blazers. He also played in the G League with the Iowa Energy, Raptors 905, and Texas Legends.
Prior to landing Baldwin, Bayern appointed Andrea Trinchieri as the new head coach ahead of the 2020-21 EuroLeague season and domestic German competitions.
