Bayern Munich announced that the club signed forward/center Malcolm Thomas to a one-plus-one deal. Thomas last played for Turkish EuroLeague powerhouse Fenerbahce Beko.
“Malcolm is now a EuroLeague veteran. He will help us considerably on the frontcourt with his experience, his basketball IQ and his athleticism,” Bayern Sports Director Daniele Baiesi said for the team’s website.
Thomas, 31, joined Fenerbahce in December 2019. He averaged 2.9 points, 3.6 rebounds plus 1.1 assists in 14:54 minutes over 12 EuroLeague matches and 5.3 points, 5.3 rebounds plus 2.0 assists in 19:7 minutes over three matches of the Turkish BSL League before the season was canceled in both competitions.
Bayern Munich has also signed guard Wade Baldwin following the appointment of Andrea Trinchieri as the new head coach.
