FC Bayern Munich confirmed JaJuan Johnson as the latest addition to the 2020-21 squad on Thursday.
“The move to the BBL and EuroLeague is a great opportunity for me that I want to use,” mentioned the former Purdue standout commenting on signing with Bayern, “We hope as a team and myself individually to surprise many people next season. I hope to contribute with my professionalism, right moves, and a positive voice.”
A newcomer to both Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and easyCredit BBL provided the newly-appointed head coach Andrea Trinchieri with an additional front line option after Malcolm Thomas joining the team based in Munich only a couple of days ago. Wade Baldwin IV is the other summer addition so far.
Johnson, 31, most recently played in Turkey for Bahcesehir Koleji averaging 11.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per 7DAYS EuroCup match, and 13.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per BSL game. Both competitions ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Other European stints for the former Boston Celtics player include Lokomotiv Kuban, Darussafaka, Cantu, and Besiktas.
