Baskonia announced that the club has re-signed the 21-year-old Estonian prospect Sander Raieste until 2024. Raieste joined the Spanish club back in 2016 but is yet to make his debut with the A-team.
Per TD Systems Baskonia:
The young Estonian player will continue to be part of the Azulgrana family until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Sander Raieste (Tallin, 1999), renews as a player for TD Systems Baskonia. The 21-year-old extends his contract and will continue to wear the colours of Baskonia until 2024. The Estonian exterior will be part of the squad that will be led by Dusko Ivanovic and that is going to start working in the coming days.
Raieste, international with the Estonian national team, landed in Vitoria-Gasteiz in 2016 to be part of the lower categories of the club. In the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, he was part of the subsidiary team in the silver category, where he averaged 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 11.2 points of index rating. Last season, the young Baskonista was on loan at BC Kalev Cramo in his native Estonia where he has averaged 7.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 19.4 minutes.
In the next few days, Sander will arrive in Vitoria-Gasteiz to put himself in the hands of Dusko Ivanovic at the start of the pre-season.
