TD Systems Baskonia re-signed Zoran Dragic for the 2020-21 season, the Spanish club announced on Wednesday.
The younger brother of NBA star Goran Dragic and ex-NBA player himself joined the team based in Vitoria-Gasteiz last January inking a contract for the remainder of the season. After returning to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and contributing to the ACB championship, he was retained for the upcoming season.
Over five EuroLeague appearances up to the early conclusion of the campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic, Dragic averaged 7.8 points and 2.0 assists per game, making his way up to 110 matches in Europe’s premier club competition in the process.
Domestically, the 31-year-old swingman had 8.4 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per contest in ACB’s season-ending tournament helping Dusko Ivanovic’s side in its championship run. Prior to the hiatus generated 4.8 points per game over four appearances.
Ilimane Diop, Pierria Henry, Sander Raieste were the previous players signing a new contract with the Spanish team. Summer additions feature Khadeen Carrington, Rokas Giedraitis, Tonye Jekiri, and Alec Peters.
