Khimki was missing practically half of the roster for the game including Alexey Shved but nonetheless, CSKA‘s performance was impressive in the 101-71 win in the Moscow clash.
Mike James continued where he left off, logging another 20+ points performance, that is, 25 points along with seven rebounds and three assists.
Will Clyburn followed with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, covering both ends of the floor while Janis Strelnieks added 13 points.
For Khimki, Devin Booker put on a strong effort with 19 points and eight rebounds, as did Janis Timma with 14 and Evgeny Voronov with ten points.
Khimki was off to a slightly better start, leading 26-23 after the first quarter, however, James was pushing CSKA with 20 points by halftime as his squad turned it around for 58-49 at the break.
Khimki couldn’t recover after the pause either as Clyburn joined in on the action and the gap kept increasing fast with the victor practically being decided by the end of the third quarter.
CSKA is 5-0 so far in the preparations for the upcoming season with two of those wins coming against Khimki.
