After a couple of preseason loses, against Olimpia Milano and Panathinaikos, the ALBA Berlin squad bounced back with a 96-91 win over the Bakken Bears.
Niels Giffey led the way with 21 points, four rebounds, and three steals while Peyton Siva followed with 15 points, seven assists, and four boards.
Johannes Thiemann also scored 15 points while Luke Sikma logged an all-around performance with 12 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds.
For the Bears, QJ Peterson banked game-high 23 points in addition to Michel Diouf’s 17 and Justin Dentmon’s 13 points.
The Danish champions played quite aggressive in offense, shooting 13 threes more than Alba but actually making one less. Berlni’s squad also dominated the board and with great ball movement managed to come out on top in the end.
The Bears were up 27-21 after ten minutes and 47-43 at halftime, however, Alba took over after the break with a 30-19 third quarter which pushed them to victory.
