Although Ian Vougioukas and Panathinaikos parted ways in mid-July this year, the 35-year-old Greek big will return to the club for another season, according to Eurohoops sources.
Vougioukas had talked earlier this summer on Eurohoops’ IG Lockdown about his future and that he would like to finish his career with the ‘Greens’. And he has gotten a chance to wear their jersey for one more campaign at least.
He played for PAO for the past three years and had a two-year stint earlier in his career as well (2010-12). He also played for Olympiacos, Rethymno, Panellinios, UNICS, Galatasaray, Ulm, Zalgiris and Lokomotiv Kuban throughout his career.
The veteran played 34 games for Panathinaikos last season split between the Greek League and EruoLeague with nine minutes of playtime on average.
