Panathinaikos OPAP inked Ian Vougioukas to a one-year contract, the Greek team announced Saturday confirming the recent report on the two sides reuniting.
Vougioukas, 35, parted ways with the Greens in mid-July but is back for a fourth consecutive run and seventh overall with the Greek powerhouse. His first stint lasted from 2010 to 2012 and included the 2011 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship. He returned in 2017.
The previous season prematurely ending due to the coronavirus pandemic saw him produce 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per EuroLeague contest over 18 appearances. At the domestic level, he averaged 4.6 points per match.
