The latest addition to Zenit Saint-Petersburg’s squad comes in the form of 20-year-old Maksim Karvanen, the Russian club announced Saturday. He inked a two-year contract.
The young forward arrives in Xavi Pascual’s roster from Zenit-2. He averaged 5.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest over 35 games of the previous season.
In addition, Karvanen represented Russia in the 2019 U20 European Championship putting up 11.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in second division action.
Moving on to the current season, he was featured in preseason games on the way to earning a spot in the senior team.
