We will have two teams of our own and will also be sharing our tips throughout the season. It’s up to you to either use our suggestions or opt to lean on your personal opinions and move on with your own “fantasy team”.
Unpredictable season
A challenging year for traditional or fantasy basketball. Players coming off an extended break makes it extremely difficult to predict their form. Especially the first rounds will confront even expert fantasy players.
Teams have played limited games. Prep matches alone can’t draw the complete picture regarding projected roles for each player.
Obviously, players the likes of Shane Larkin and Mike James can turn in fantasy points but come with a certain cost. We consider these options a given but still need to supplement them with other players fitting in the budget and having the capacity to form a strong squad.
This is where we come in. We picked out some players available at a friendly price hoping to strengthen the value ratio in your favor.
Nedovic, Lauvergne. Zizic, and Laprovittola
We start off with Panathinaikos OPAP’s Nemanja Nedovic. At 1.30, we consider him an ideal fantasy addition. His strong friendly outings lifted him to a strong option for Giorgos Vovoras. We expect him to pour in desired fantasy points.
Joining in is Nicolas Laprovittola. After nearly becoming a Green himself, he went on for a solid start to the young Real Madrid season. In his last ACB outing, he was the best player on the court and was effective as well against Gipuzkoa playing in the opening round alongside Sergio Llull.
Available at 0.60, his addition creates a very light load to our budget. Earning playing time from Pablo Laso can get us plenty of fantasy points at a very low cost. In addition, Facundo Campazzo possibly completing his NBA jump can provide a major boost to Laprovittola’s fantasy value.
Zalgiris Kaunas’ Joffrey Lauvergne at 1.08 is one more addition to our team. A good player bumped out of the Fenerbahce Beko rotation mainly due to injuries and because of other solid frontline options should have been attached to a higher cost. Moving to the Lithuanian powerhouse, he will evolve into the top big. We really expect him to produce massively compared to his initial price.
One more big comes in the form of Ante Zizic. He costs 1.46, but we are talking about a strong EuroLeague player. We expect him to be among the top five centers of the season and picked him early before his performances lift his fantasy value.
