Real Madrid will start off the 2020-21 EuroLeague with a clash against Baskonia on the road but they won’t be able to count on three players – Sergio Llull, Jeffery Taylor and Felipe Reyes.
“For the game against Baskonia, we have some injuries. Taylor, who has a muscle problem; Llull, with a sprained ankle. It was absurd to risk this week and we want him to recover well to play; and Reyes who has sprained his ankle in training. We traveled with 13 players,” coach Pablo Laso said.
As far as mental preparation goes, Laso believes in going one step at a time, especially during these unique circumstances.
“It will be important. We are all in a sense of uncertainty. It is a general question, but we try to focus on tomorrow’s game and that I have three players who will not be able to play. I do not think beyond. I’m going to focus on the day to day and prepare the game in the best possible way.”
