LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne confirmed four more positive coronavirus tests early Tuesday. The latest cases involve two senior players and two members of the coaching staff.
Players and coaches tested Monday revealed the four additional positive tests. Seven team members were already affected by the virus. Everyone is quarantined and in good health or with very mild symptoms, per the press release.
Nine players, including two youth team members, remain available for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague double-game week. The French club is scheduled to host Panathinaikos OPAP Tuesday and Crvena Zvezda mts Thursday.
ASVEL additionally notes that the option to isolate the entire squad would be the preferred route, but the team remains dependent on the decisions of the competitions they participate in.
Further clarifying the current status, the French outlet points out that all cases would be confirmed Monday if the solely complied on regulatory tests rather than carrying out rapid internal tests.
