ALBA Berlin announced Sunday that a player tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen Saturday. He was quarantined.
Players and remaining team members underwent scheduled testing Saturday upon returning from Russia after the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 4 win versus CSKA Moscow.
The German outlet notified health authorities to determine appropriate measures to be taken following the positive test.
As an initial precaution, the German Cup game originally scheduled to take place later Sunday opposite to Lowen Braunschweig was postponed.
