Khimki Moscow Region announced Monday that the Governor of the Moscow region instructed local sports events between October 21 and November 7 to take place behind closed doors.
The same restriction is expected to apply to CSKA Moscow, however, there’s no decision yet on the matter by the city of Moscow authorities which are a different entity.
The Governor of the Moscow region deemed the measure necessary to prevent the coronavirus spread. Previous CSKA and Khimki home games of the recently-launched 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and VTB United League campaigns had limited attendance.
The mentioned timeline will affect upcoming home contests of Khimki but also with CSKA hosting Valencia on October 29 anything seems possible. Khimki will not have fans versus Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on October 23, and Crvena Zvezda mts on October 30.
