EuroLeague Basketball announced that the Round 6 game between Olimpia Milano and Alba Berlin (Friday, 30/10) will be suspended due to the multiple coronavirus cases on the latter.
Alba also had the Round 5 match vs. Baskonia being suspended. Milano didn’t play its Round 5 against Zenit St. Petersburg as well due to the Russian side having many players in quarantine after testing positive for coronavirus.
Per EuroLeague:
AX Armani Exchange Milan vs. ALBA Berlin, originally scheduled to be played on Thursday, October 30, has been suspended. ALBA requested the suspension of the game due to local legislation imposing quarantine measures on the team, which leaves it without the minimum eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play.
Following the modification of the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, the game can be rescheduled up to three times, if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with both teams the best options to reschedule the game. Alternative date will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms once confirmed.
