After the positive test of one team member of Panathinaikos and the local legislations imposing quarantine, the team was unable to register the minimum amount of players for Thursday’s game vs. Zenit. As a result, the game has been suspended and re-scheduled in the near future.
Per EuroLeague:
The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 6 game between Zenit St Petersburg and Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, originally scheduled to be played on Thursday, October 29, has been suspended. Panathinaikos OPAP Athens requested the suspension due to local legislation imposing quarantine measures on the team after one team member tested positive, which leaves it without the minimum eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play.
Following the modification of the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times, if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with both teams the best options to reschedule the game. Alternative dates will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms once confirmed.
