Euroleague Basketball announced Wednesday that Fenerbahce Beko boss Igor Kokoskov was fined 5,000€. He was ejected from last week’s Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 5 away game versus Panathinaikos OPAP after picking up a couple of technical fouls while complaining to the match referees.
Per Euroleague Basketball: “Euroleague Basketball has announced disciplinary sanctions pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 5 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season. The sanctions are based on infractions of the competition bylaws that all teams are aware of and obliged to fulfill.
Igor Kokoskov, head coach of Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul has been sanctioned with a fine of 5,000€ for the lack of respect towards the officiating crew on occasion of its away game against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens under Article 27.2.b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”
