Panathinaikos OPAP will not retain Keifer Sykes after his one-month contract expires next week, as the club has officially announced.

The Greek powerhouse attempted to re-sign the former Green Bay standout on a new one-month contract, but Sykes preferred a longer deal up to the end of the 2020-21 season. It has to be noted that the initial deal between the two sides included a clause for an extension for the rest of the season, however, the Greek club wanted to guarantee him only next month. The player is expected to continue his career in China.

His brief run with the Greens included three Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances. He averaged 3.7 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per match. SDNA first reported the intention of Panathinaikos to not extend the cooperation with Sykes.
